What made you sign up for the Nivea 5X5 Challenge? 

I had been involved in a similar cause/event a few years back and felt it was the right time for me, and the right organisation to be a part of.

Have you ever attempted such a distance before? 

Yes I have, but this was quite a few years back. No doubt this will be a very tough challenge indeed, especially training in the heat of summer. But that’s what real challenges are about!

What are your thoughts as you look forward to the challenge ahead? 

I look forward to reliving the experiences that only events such as this create…..seeing complete strangers become close friends, working hard as a team, trying to help others throughout the training period, and of course crossing the line together on the big day! Naturally also, at the same time, making a personal commitment towards the Foundation and the kids they support by creating awareness and raising funds.
